Inside the checklist
A preview of what you'll get.
Photograph the right things
Roof, ground splatter, gutter dents, AC fins, vents, and any interior staining.
Move on the deadlines
Most policies cap you at 12 months, and some require notice in 30–60 days.
Don't sign at the door
An 'assignment of benefits' or contingent contract can lock you in. Read first.
Watch the deductible promise
If a contractor offers to 'eat your deductible', walk away. It's illegal in MO and KS.
